Our Wedding

IT'S GOING TO BE HOT

We want all of our guests to be comfortable, especially in the heat, so there is no black tie dress code here!

We only ask that you please don’t wear green (and white, obviously).

Dress Code

THERE WILL BE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

During our welcome drinks, there will be canapes for you all to enjoy whilst having a drink in the garden.

For dinner, we will be table served a 'family style' BBQ and we have made sure there is something for everyone. All options will be provided on each table so you don't need to choose beforehand, and eat as much as you can!

We do ask that you all please let us know when you send your RSVP if you are a vegetarian, vegan, or have any allergies.

For those of you still standing, there will be some late night stodge brought out to help soak up the alcohol.

Food & Drink

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Kids are welcome! But we understand that some parents might want to use this as a breakaway or have someone available to pick up the kids later in the evening.

Whatever you decide, please let us know in your RSVP if you will have kids with you on the day. We will need to know names and ages so that the caterers can make sure they are fed and watered.

If you are going to have a responsible adult pick up the kids later in the evening, please let us know before the big day so we can make sure they are allowed access into the venue. If we are not told in advance, they could be turned away at the gate.

TRAVELLING TO PORTUGAL

For those of you that have never travelled to Portugal, there are a couple of ways to get there...

If you want to do a road trip, you can get on a boat to St Malo if coming from Jersey, or Calais if from the UK. We have done this before over three days and stopped off in some really beautiful places. Please contact one of us if this is what you plan to do and we can send you some recommendations. Otherwise, you can drive with no stops but this will take about 18-20 hours depending on what route you take.

Jersey BeansIf you don't want to drive, but also don't want the hassle of going to the UK, Fly Direct offer direct flights from Jersey-Faro. These can be a bit more expensive but they will save time and do include luggage as well. Please just be mindful that flights are only available on a Saturday for 7/14/21/28 days. We believe dates for next year come out in September 2026. You can also book accommodation directly with them on their website.

UK Family &amp; FriendsThere are regular flights to Faro from Gatwick, Luton or London Southend.

ACCOMMODATION

There are loads of Air BnB's available, as well as Hotels and Apartment Hotels throughout Albufeira. We would recommend staying in the Albufeira area as this is where the wedding venue is and it is close to most of the things to do. You can also stay in Vilamoura which is beautiful, but it's just a bit further away. Please contact us if you would like some recommendations.

CAR HIRE / UBER

We would recommend hiring a car if you are making a holiday from your trip (please make sure you check there is parking where you are staying!). But if you are only staying for the wedding, make sure you download the Uber app as these are very reasonably priced and easy to order rather than having a car.

Travel & Accommodation

We would definitely suggest making a holiday out of this trip if you can, there are lots of things to do and see! Here are just a few things that we have either done ourselves or have come highly recommended...

This&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;great&nbsp;shopping&nbsp;centre&nbsp;that&nbsp;is&nbsp;only&nbsp;a&nbsp;10&nbsp;minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue.&nbsp;There&nbsp;are&nbsp;lots&nbsp;of&nbsp;different&nbsp;kinds&nbsp;of&nbsp;shops&nbsp;here,&nbsp;as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;an&nbsp;outlet&nbsp;and&nbsp;supermarket.

Algarve Shopping

Zoomarine&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;great&nbsp;day&nbsp;out&nbsp;for&nbsp;all&nbsp;ages!&nbsp;There&nbsp;are&nbsp;rides,&nbsp;an&nbsp;aquarium,&nbsp;water&nbsp;slides,&nbsp;shows&nbsp;throughout&nbsp;the&nbsp;day,&nbsp;and&nbsp;you&nbsp;can&nbsp;even&nbsp;book&nbsp;a&nbsp;Dolphin&nbsp;experience.&nbsp;This&nbsp;is&nbsp;only&nbsp;about&nbsp;15&nbsp;minutes&nbsp;drive&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue.

Zoomarine Algarve

Aqualand&nbsp;is&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;largest&nbsp;waterparks&nbsp;in&nbsp;Portugal,&nbsp;with&nbsp;high&nbsp;slides,&nbsp;a&nbsp;river&nbsp;rapid&nbsp;run&nbsp;and&nbsp;surf&nbsp;beach&nbsp;area&nbsp;with&nbsp;wave&nbsp;pool.&nbsp;This&nbsp;is&nbsp;only&nbsp;a&nbsp;10-15&nbsp;minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue.&nbsp;

Aqualand Algarve

Lagos&nbsp;Zoo&nbsp;(Zoo&nbsp;de&nbsp;Lagos)&nbsp;is&nbsp;home&nbsp;to&nbsp;over&nbsp;140&nbsp;different&nbsp;species&nbsp;of&nbsp;animals.&nbsp;It&#39;s&nbsp;suitable&nbsp;for&nbsp;all&nbsp;ages,&nbsp;but&nbsp;it&nbsp;is&nbsp;about&nbsp;a&nbsp;35-40&nbsp;minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;away&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue.&nbsp;

Zoo de Lagos

Albufeira&nbsp;Old&nbsp;Town&nbsp;is&nbsp;the&nbsp;historic&nbsp;centre&nbsp;of&nbsp;Albufeira.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Square&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;vibrant&nbsp;area&nbsp;both&nbsp;day&nbsp;and&nbsp;night&nbsp;with&nbsp;tons&nbsp;of&nbsp;restaurants&nbsp;and&nbsp;bars,&nbsp;shops&nbsp;and&nbsp;street&nbsp;performers.&nbsp;It&nbsp;is&nbsp;only&nbsp;a&nbsp;15&nbsp;minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue.&nbsp;

Albufeira Old Town

Vilamoura&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;lovely&nbsp;area&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Algarve,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;Marina&nbsp;especially&nbsp;is&nbsp;fantastic&nbsp;for&nbsp;food&nbsp;and&nbsp;drinks.&nbsp;It&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;further&nbsp;away,&nbsp;about&nbsp;a&nbsp;25-30&nbsp;minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue,&nbsp;but&nbsp;definitely&nbsp;worth&nbsp;a&nbsp;visit&nbsp;to&nbsp;have&nbsp;lunch/dinner&nbsp;and&nbsp;drinks.&nbsp;

Marina de Vilamoura

For&nbsp;those&nbsp;of&nbsp;you&nbsp;that&nbsp;like&nbsp;your&nbsp;vino,&nbsp;this&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;great&nbsp;wine&nbsp;tasting&nbsp;experience&nbsp;where&nbsp;you&nbsp;can&nbsp;learn&nbsp;about&nbsp;their&nbsp;production&nbsp;and&nbsp;process,&nbsp;as&nbsp;well&nbsp;as&nbsp;sampling&nbsp;some&nbsp;lovely&nbsp;wine!&nbsp;You&nbsp;can&nbsp;make&nbsp;an&nbsp;afternoon&nbsp;of&nbsp;it&nbsp;here&nbsp;too&nbsp;as&nbsp;they&nbsp;have&nbsp;a&nbsp;swimming&nbsp;pool&nbsp;and&nbsp;tapas&nbsp;menu.&nbsp;This&nbsp;is&nbsp;also&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;further&nbsp;away,&nbsp;about&nbsp;a&nbsp;25-30&nbsp;minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;from&nbsp;our&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;venue.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
